Frequently Asked Dental Questions
At 333 Dental Care, we believe in providing our patients with clear communication, transparency, and education when it comes to their one-of-a-kind smiles. If you ever have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know so that we can discuss the matter together and shed some much-needed light on the subject. For added convenience, we’ve compiled some of the questions we receive most often and their answers below:
How often should I go to the dentist’s office?
In most cases, Dr. Lively recommends scheduling biannual (twice a year) checkups and cleanings. The truth is, even the most diligent brushers and flossers can end up with potentially serious dental problems that need a trained eye, and these routine visits will give our team the valuable opportunity to discover new concerns and signs of damage as soon as they arise. If there are outlying circumstances, such as the presence of periodontal/gum disease, we may recommend coming in every three to four months instead so that your health can be better maintained from year to year with our support.
Do you see dental emergencies?
Yes! Our team will do whatever we can to accommodate urgent injuries, oral pain, and likeminded situations as soon as we receive your call. We never want to leave our valued patients (new and reoccurring alike) struggling!
The dentist’s office makes me nervous. Can you help?
Absolutely. Our friendly, caring staff members work hard to create a soothing atmosphere for each appointment, and sedation dentistry services are also available for more severe cases of dental anxiety and outright phobia. During your first visit, we can discuss these available options in greater detail so that you can approach your impending procedure confidently and without stress.
Should I be worried about a root canal?
Not at all. Root canals may have a “scary” reputation, but this is because most people incorrectly associate the pain of a severe toothache with the root canal procedure itself – in fact, the root canal is designed to alleviate this discomfort entirely! Plus, today’s modern tools and comfort techniques go a long way towards making this procedure very simple and smooth. Most patients say that it feels very similar to receiving a common filling.
What’s the best way to replace missing teeth?
Our Mangum, OK dental office offers dental implants, dental bridges, and full and partial dentures. While every case is unique, Dr. Lively does strongly recommend implants and implant-retained restorations because of their enormously valuable advantages, including excellent longevity, seamless aesthetic value, and excellent health benefits. These new “teeth” can easily recomplete smiles for the rest of the patient’s life.
Can you improve the way my smile looks?
Yes. 333 Dental Care offers several different cosmetic services that can be arranged into your ideal makeover plan, including metal-free restorations, porcelain veneers, direct bonding, take-home teeth whitening with DayWhite, and more.
Do you take dental insurance?
We certainly do. Our dental office is in-network with several major providers and will accept most PPO insurances. If you would like to learn more about your financial options, please visit our new patients page or contact our Mangum, OK dental office directly.
